Love the dryer because it has a large bin numerous settings and us USUALLY quiet -- we just had to call LG to come investigate why it was vibrating. After checking the feet etc. learned that the vent hose was making the sound. Also love the WiFi / App capabilities though the system is a little clunky.

Handles heavy loads and typically dries thoroughly. The dry sensor is often a little off and leaves clothes damp. Have to dry on heavy heat almost always to get things dry.

my dryer is defective

my fryer is a not yet a year and a half old and the motor blew out how is this possible? i am a long time customer for many many years of LG products and have never had this terrible experience i hope i win the $ 500 so it can pay for the unexpected service call new motor and installation charge. all kidding aside my wife and i are very upset that LG refuses to discount the price of this motor after an hour on the phone talking to various departments including customer service and out of warranty dept. how can an LG product go bad after this short a period of time unless it was defective and you will not take any responsibility? please help thank you from a loyal customer thank you

An excellent large capacity dryer to go with my large capacity washer Bought because of ratings from Consumer Reports and so glad we did. It has definitely cut down on how many dryer loads we do. This dryer is great. I love that the door opens in two directions from the side and down from the top. This feature has been very handy to have. The dryer also has a Steam Fresh setting option. It came with a hose splitter to connect it to the washer water line. It was pretty easy to set up. I have used the setting a couple times after we left loads in too long before folding and it does a commendable job of removing wrinkles.

This is my 2nd LG Dryer. The first one was amazing. This one is extremely loud and sounds like its rattling. I had someone from LG look at it. They said nothing was mechanically wrong the dryer is just noisy and the frame cant be replaced because they no longer make it. Not happy with LG the 2nd time around.

Condensation issues

Honestly Im not thrilled with the service received. Making the claim went fine but the tech told us nothing is wrong with our dryer when clearly there is. A dryer should not re-wet your cloths that were just dried. It builds up so much condensation that it drips from the door when you open it. I should be able to leave a load in the dryer without concern that Im going to have re-dry because if it sits after drying it will become wet again. Ive had the dryer since November and never had a problem until now. It started weeks ago and is continuing.

Love the LG washers. This is my 2nd one in 8 years. Still own the 1st at my 2nd home. Learning this newer technology one but like overall. My 1st has the controls on the front which I prefer vs being on the back. My 8 yr old cant reach the controls to do a load herself. She likes to help. I find the start button is hard to press and have found I never started the dryer until a while later. It is able to dry a king comforter.

The first washer delivered had issues. It kept trying to walk across the hall and into the bathroom. So I was hesitant to swap it for another one but I did. The consumer reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Second unit is perfect. Not sure Ill ever use all the settings but it gives me something to play with. Handles those king size blankets etc with ease.

I had an old dryer and finally bought this one. I love it. The clothes are fluffier. Ive even dried a huge quilt that came out beautifully after a few cycles . My only drawback is the dryer did not come with a manual and I dont know how to use all of the settings. I bought a matching washing machine and they look so nice together. The LG products are great.

Need to upgrade Dryer

Excellent Drier

Its a dryer it dries clothes as it should mechanically it seems quiter that our prior dryer at least when there are no jeans in it. No dryer is quiet in that case. The really SUPER handy thing is the hamper door opening. We didnt even know it had this feature but it sure makes tossing the wet clothes into the dryer quicker and with a lot less chance of clean wet clothes landing on the floor. Super handy

If only it didnt buzz....

I had the original version of this dryer purchased in 2011 and it was terrific. I replaced both it and its companion washer this year after 11 years of excellent service they both were wearing out at this point. This dryer does dry about as well as the original one thankfully the washer is a disaster though. HOWEVER it makes a loud buzzing noise when it is running which does abate after about 20 minutes and which is not related to the external ducting it does it even unconnected to the dryer hose. I cant figure out what is causing it but it is annoying.... The pluses about this dryer are the dual hinged door which is very convenient and the cycles are well thought out. The minuses are: that loud buzz a somewhat unresponsive touch panel frequently have to touch it several times before it registers my finger touch and changes the setting and the odd drum light setup it does not turn on when you open the door so you cant see whats in the drum

Super Machine

This dryer is very effective especially the steam feature which saves on ironing. It is gentle on clothes having all the settings you could want for all types of fabric. It doesnt over-dry clothes they come out looking great. The set up was a breeze.

Nice quiet efficient dryer

I like the fact the upright impeller style washer sends a suggested dry cycle to the dryer. That cycle seems to completely dry the clothes. The steam function we use a lot of shirts to get wrinkles out. I love the two style opening door however we had to change it from right hinged to left hinged and anyone without mechanical ability would be challenged. We paired the dryer with an upright washer and using the front open door to load means no more pieces falling on the floor while transferring clothes. The filter is easy to clean and doesnt seem to build up lint in other corners of the filter housing. It is very quiet. It was easy to install the 240v wire set and attach the hose for steam.

Nice Washer Tech spotty repair service bad

Worked great for 9 months. WiFi went out called repair they replace the board and worked again for about a month. Called repair on day of appointment called and they were hurt no other repair techs. After a few weeks submitted another repair request. This time they said they would send the part and I could install I agreed I am handy. No part. After a few weeks I submitted another repair request for the WiFi. I was contacted by email and told to resubmit my repair request for my dented door. Wow. Just submitted another request. My Warranty is up in a month and they keep sending me emails to extend it. Wonder if this is their way to pressure me to extend warranty. We also bought the washer no problems with it. Love the machine when it works.
